| Well, it's just like the topic says! What's your favorite anime besides DBZ? If you have one that is. | |

| I'm stuck on Bleach right now. I Love it!!! I've also began watching Ouran High School Host Club and I've just finished up watching Claymore. Both are very good. | |

| Along with Dragonball Z, I'm also an Inuyasha, Nightwalker, Gundam Seed and Death Note fan. Currently I haven't been watching much anime lately but that'll change once I purchase the next season of Inuyasha. ^_^

| Besides DBZ, I love "Rosario+Vampire" ^^ It is a really good anime but sadly I cannot find one that I can understand and not depend on subtitles to help out | |

| Augh! There are so many! Hmmmm.......The ones I seem to be obsessing over lately have been Full Metal Alchemist (both Brotherhood and the original), Kuroshituji (Black Butler in english), Hetalia, and Hellsing (the one based off the manga). But there are soooo many more that I watch as well.
And of course, I shall always love Transformers.

| Is it okay if I have a semi-long list, because there are just so many I love?
If yes, then let's see:
Star Driver Code Geass Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann GaoGaiGar Gosaurer Lord Of Lords Ryu Knight Digimon Xros Wars One Piece Bleach Naruto Heroman Full Metal Alchemist Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (both versions rock!) Soul Eater G Gundam Gunbuster Diebuster Getter Robo (and most related series) Mazinger Z (and most related series) Legend of Daiku-Maryu: Gaiking Kotetsushin Jeeg Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspectors Fairy Tail Gundam Unicorn
I will admit that is a noticeably large number of mecha in there. And yes, they are ALL awesome

| I don't know why but I HATE Gurren Lagann. And I should like it it's about giant mechs beating the shot out of each other but every time I watch it it just annoys me. Maybe it's because the villains get more development than the heroes or the giant leaps of stupidity. But everybody has their own opinion and I respect that | |

| Considering that the main character starts a wimp and ends as a walking embodiment of willpower, I'd heavily argue against the 'villains get more development' argument. And as for the supposed stupidity, and assuming you're referring to whenever the heroes do something that isn't even planned out, remember that when they do try 'plans', it typically blows up in their face (read: Kamina's death and Rossiu's escape to space plan going kaput). | |

| That's another thing about anime. it's like all the directors go "hey let's put in this fun and enjoyable character who's also a bit mildly annoying and just as the audience is about accept him/her let's put a fucking bullet in his/her head or blow them hell with a big ass laser." Granted this happens more with villains like Jan Valentine, but Kamina is one of those cases where the hero is killed and not brought back to life. Hell, they brought back LordGenome for the last few episodes. And if your wondering how I know all this stuff if I hate this show it's because I have a friend who does love the show and like to explain the episodes in explicit detail all the time.
P.S. Nice move there Rossiu, decomission the only things that can defend you from an outside threat

| Though ultimately if Kamina didn't kick the bucket, then Simon would've been content in being in the man's shadow forever. A good example of how this may not be the best thing is actually highlighted in a parody comic of all things - called Double K. | |

| I find it ironic that both Simon's jealousy and immaturity got Kamina killed. He was jealous because Kamina shacked up with Yoko (which is weird since he seems very far from puberty). And Immature because during that gunship attack, instead of focusing on the task at hand he was blinded by their kiss which made Lamina leave his robot, punch him gave the ape beast man time to lock on the the robot and turn him into a crispy sidedish | |

| That was sorta the point. Though to note: Simon is 14 by his and Yoko's count, but likely even older since he had, you know, never had the sun to measure against before the events of the show, and clearly not long enough to figure out an actual year. | |

| Oh oh! Where to begin. Let's thank any deity listening that you asked for anime rather than manga. XD So: Inuyasha Astro Boy Transformers Voltron (Lion Force) Full Metal Panic Bleach <-- so epic and so not sorry I got sucked into the hype... Kyo Kara Maoh Ouran High Host Club Samurai Champloo Fruits Basket Anything by Miazaki...but Howl's Moving Castle is my fave. And there should probably be more in there but I think that is long enough for now. XD | |

| I've never cared for Miyazaki. Yes I know he's a highly acclaimed director but every time I try to watch one of his movies I just get disinterested | |

| I suppose that if you're into anime that's a little more 'adult' than the stuf Miyazaki does then that's no big surprise. His stuff does tend to lean towards the 'cute' and 'fairytale happy ending'. Personally, I'm a sucker for that stuff! Although I do like both versions of Hellsing...I think I'm an all over the place type of person. XD | |

| Well I like other type of anime as well I liked Gundam before it became convoluted and I love the Transformers Unicron trilogy (the anime seasons) his movies are just a little too over the top for me. | |

| Mate, Gundam was so convoluted from the start. Seriously, when the fans managed to make up a semi-coherent timeline, Sunrise just went and said 'okay, that's the official one then' xD As for the Unicron Trilogy... the thing is, it's less a trilogy, and more 'one anime, it's sequel, and something that meshes everything related to the material. This really isn't joking. | |

| 1st: I'm talking about the original gundam when the biggest threat was Zion and Char not all the Wing, Zero, Seed crap.
2nd: isn't that what a trilogy is?
3rd: where did you get that graph?

| A trilogy is generally considered as such when each segment is a directly tied to the other two. Such would be the two Star Wars Trilogies, as they all link into one another.
The final chapter of the 'Unicron Trilogy' however, doesn't really fit that criteria. It throws out the continuity of previous seasons, and then tries to fit stuff back in, and it all gets rather confusing. The simplest explanation is that the Black Hole did it. And as for the graph, that's from TFwiki.

| Ah I think they just ditched the energon continuity because that show suuucked. Plus the 3D animation for the robots them selves was pretty cool | |

| Memo to self: Make an actual coherent list of the animes I like. XD;;
And I have to agree with the thing about the Unicron Trilogy. I liked all three of the shows, but Cybertron really was kind of....mushed together. No matter how many times I try to think of how exactly it's connected tot he other two, I just get confused.
Yes, let's just all agree that the Black Hole did it. Because it's an evil black hole of DOOM.

| *is totally lost in the TF conversation* I just remember I loved it when I was 6 - back in the 80s when it was on TV in the mornings...I think I may be too old for this conversation... Animes I forgot to put on my list - Fushigi Yuugi and Saiunkoku Monogatari - how could I!! They're both so good! | |
